News and Updates – May 2014:

  • May 1st – Registration for the MA at Mountview is now live
  • Chris begins work on two Diploma’s in Personal Performance and Small Business Coaching
  • Apr 7th – Preparations underway for the MA in Creative Producing which we are preparing for Mountview, hoping for first intake in September 2014.
  • Apr 1st – CGO completed its making connections and support contract with Kolomna. Delighted to have been part of this Russian UK apple pastila project, and we look forward to being a customer of their delicious product, and visitor to their creative world.
  • Mar 13th – first formal board meeting of The Production Exchange at the House of Lords
  • Mar 5th – Welcomed the founding directors of Studio Life (Japan) to London for a series of meetings and connections.  Looking forward to working with them to bring an all-male production to the UK in 2015.
  • Nov 10th 2013 – We held our first CGO Surgery networking evening, in conjunction with Authentic Artists. Delighted also to extend the invitation to Birkbeck cohort of MA arts and cultural producers.  We will plan more of these in the spring.  Wonderful to be in Wilton’s Music Hall.
  • Sept 8th – Preparing for a visit to Tokyo to plan DxL Creations theatrical productions, and welcoming Kolomna KAL to the UK from Russia to forge a Memorandum of Understanding with UK colleagues.  Fascinating diverse work we do at CGO.
  • Aug 21st – Delighted to welcome Drew Davies as a new expert Associate for CGO making us, currently, the Magnificent Seven
  • July 27th – Good News – Delighted that Arts Council England have awarded us a Grant for the Arts to allow the growth of CGO Surgeries and an eventual on-line book/resource for all. Thank you especially to James Hadleigh / Arts Council London for his championing of what we can offer.
  • July 27th – Sad News – After 7 months of working with Mountview the school management have decided they need to cut their budgets and reduce the coverage of Industry Liaison from 3 days a week to 2.  Rebecca Jewell will continue to offer the 2 days, but I will not be continuing with my one day. I have immensely enjoyed working with the students to prepare them for the real world. Rebecca will continue to do a fabulous job for them.  We had great fun as a double act and I am sure we will work together again somwhere else soon.
  • June 13: Engaged by NHS Suffolk and Wokingham Clinical Commissioning Group to run staff, patient and stakeholder engagement sessions using Open Space to further the patient revolution and ensure the patient voice is heard in the setting of agenda priorities
  • July 1st – introducing a wider business audience to Kath Burlinson’s Art of Being Heard and impactful leadership programmes in conjunction with Helen Oldfield Affinity PR.  Bookings now being taken for Sept 18th and Oct 29th in Ipswich
  • We host three representatives of a Japanese computer simulation company in London for meetings shortly on the creation of non-verbal stage work for a global market using virtual characters and live stage simulation.
  • The next meetings with the Museum of the Forgotten Taste (Kolomna / Russia) representatives happening in Cambridge in July as we explore the production and marketing of  Kolomna Pastille Russian traditional food product and museum.
  • Preparing to work with the new Gallic Theatre project for Iain Finlay Macleod in Glasgow.
  • June 13: Application re-submitted to Arts Council England to expand and develop the CGO Surgery programme 2013/14.  Decision expected in August.  In the meantime see dates for Surgeries in London, High Tide Festival and Edinburgh Festival.
  • New updated document on StoryMusic2020 available, and the next round-table discussion planned for September. We are planning an Open Space mid-November after networking at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.  Feel free to register your interest by email.
  • May 13:  An inspiring Open Space for the West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and we are pleased to be in discussion with Health Services in East Suffolk and Berkshire for similar patient/professional engagement events. Wherever you are in the UK we are pleased to share Open Space with you.
  • Proud to have been invited to join Colin Blumenau in the development of The Production Exchange a bespoke matching service between time, talent and treasure…producers, projects and investors.
  • Feb 13: New associate, Keum Roling, joins us to bring his Dutch and Korean arts management experience to support the development of CGO
