ICE – Improv Comedy East
Comedy Improv classes in Hackney – Open to All
Come join us, make your own fun and explore comedy improvisation, for art and for life!
These weekly classes use a wide range of games and exercises and cover: brainstorming, storytelling, creating characters, status-play, comedy-business, how to fail happily and trusting yourself. They’re designed to stimulate creativity by helping you to unlock the contents of your vast and fertile imagination (you have one, we promise). Whether you use the lessons for specific areas like writing or performing, or simply to enhance your spontaneity, these sessions will give you new skills, and motivate your mind and body. Oh, and you’ll laugh and laugh until you fall over. This is one of the best improv classes you’ll ever do. And it’ll make you rich, give you a six-pack and attract the lover of your dreams.*

The sessions will be lead by:
Alison Goldie : professional actor, writer, theatre director and broadcaster with over 20 years experience of teaching and performing improvisation. She is currently writing a book based on her work called ‘Improvisation for Theatre, Education and Life’ to be published by Oberon Books in 2014. See www.thedramabusiness.co.uk for reviews and more.
Peter Joucla:  theatre director, teacher and founder of Tour De Force Theatre Company, with whom he has directed over fifty productions touring to large scale venues around the world. Peter is also a professional writer and musician.  His recent production of ‘The Great Gatsby’ at Wilton’s Music Hall received a five star review in The Times.
Sessions take place on Sunday afternoons starting 15 September 2013 from 2 – 5pm, at theTour De Force Studios, 6 Well St Hackney E9 7PX. You can drop in, but coming to the first few sessions will give you a great grounding.
Cost – £10 a session, payable in cash on the day, and you can get twelve sessions for £95 if you book in advance and send a cheque. Limited places.
