Chris Grady

Chris Grady is currently Head of External Relations at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds.

For 30 years he has worked on the development of emerging Musical Theatre in the UK creating the first Festivals of Musicals, running the Vivian Ellis Prize, launching the world Quest for New Musicals and working as an assessor for the New York Festival of New Musicals.

He was previously CEO of Buxton Opera House, project manager for the new Theatre by The Lake in Keswick, Head of Marketing Plymouth Theatre Royal, Publicity Manager for the Edinburgh International Festival, General Manager of Pleasance Theatres and for 5 years the Head of International Licensing for Cameron Mackintosh Ltd.

Over the last two years Chris has also begun to look at the widest possible range of Alternative Health and Wellness practices available in the UK, and to seek to understand the powerful support that is on offer, and readily available, to each and every citizen should they wish to embrace different ways of thinking to the more accepted forms of healthy business and healthy living management. Alongside the Arts Surgery programme Chris is looking at offering support for individuals and groups working in these fields.

Based in Suffolk he continues to offer monthly surgeries for new producers and creatives, plus supporting the development of Kath Burlinson’s Authentic Artist programme.
